If your final exam schedule includes four exams in two consecutive days, you may request a make-up exam in place of one of the four scheduled examinations. If your schedule includes three exams in one calendar day or three exams in consecutive time blocks spanning parts of two consecutive days, you may request a make up in place of the three scheduled examinations. In all cases you must give the instructor a note of permission you obtain from the Office of Student Services & Advocacy. That office will determine which of the bunched examinations you may reschedule.
In addition to bunched finals, University policy states that the Office of Student Services & Advocacy can only excuse a student from a final exam due to causes such as: Serious illness, death of a family member or other unavoidable circumstances. Due to the change in the academic calendar and in an effort to minimize make-up exams, permission for a make-up will not be given for reasons, such as having travel conflicts (including airline tickets), attending a graduation, oversleeping, or misreading the exam schedule. |
